Owners information for slipway and Hardstand Use
- Only financial members vessels may be hauled or stored.
- Cradles must be of acceptable standard, as determined by the slip master, and fit the vessel to be hauled.
- Cradles must be removed after launching.
- Minimum bearer width is 2.65 meters.
- Vessel owners are required to arrange suitable assistance when hauling or launching their vessel. (in addition to the owner, a minimum of three adults is required, no children).
- Power transformers/RCDs are expected to be used.
- Guide ropes on vessel - two at bow, two at stern, one head rope or as required.
- Slip charges: (all prices are GST exclusive)
Hardstand $0.20 per foot per day (Minimum 1 Day) Long Stay $0.20 per foot per day Haul Out $1.00 per foot - minimum charge Launching $1.00 per foot - minimum charge Road Access $1.00 per foot Call Out $22.50 Emergency Call Out $45.00 Cradle Hire $1.50 per day - The Long Stay charge applies to all vessels that are on the hard stand after a period of 4 months.
- The Road Access Charge applies:
- Those vessels that have been stored on the hard stand and where the owner wishes to load the vessel onto a transporter (The slip master will control the moving of the vessel to the top end of the rails).
- Those vessels being offloaded from a transporter to the hard stand.
- Does not apply if the vessel is taken directly to the top of the rails after it is hauled out.
- The Call Out Charge applies:
- Where a vessel is send away because insufficient manpower has been arranged to move the vessel off the rails to its designated position on the hard stand.
- Where a vessel, in the case of being hauled out, or the owner, in the case of a launching, does not arrive at the slip, as arranged, without previously informing the slip master.
- When it is necessary to allow a vehicle on the slip.
- Payment:
- Interim accounts for hardstand storage will be sent monthly.
- Accounts are to be paid within 7 days.
- Final account must be paid before vessel can be launched.
- Terms of conditions for slipping of vessels:
- No sand blasting will be permitted on the hardstand or grid bay.
- When spray painting vessels liability is on the owner to make good any damage caused to other property, due to overspray.
- When spray painting vessels ensure proper covers are used.
- Unless authorized and under the slip masters supervision, vehicles and trailers are prohibited on the slip.
- Should the ownership of the vessel change while the vessel is on the slip the new owner, if not already a member, must either immediately apply for membership of MCC or remove the vessel within 14 days.
REMEMBER THE SLIPWAY IS A WORKING AREA. IT IS NOT FOR STORAGE.
