Community Emergency Hub

Community Emergency Hub & Milford Emergency Readiness Network

In early September 2025, a group of local businesses and volunteers, in association with the Milford Business Association, met at the Milford Cruising Club to discuss community support in Milford in the event of a large scale emergency.

The first ever Milford Emergency Readiness Network was created. This is a huge step for Milford and the local community. A Whatsapp group has been established for communications and further meetings and training will be arranged so that the group has some preparation if we need to activate and support our community.

The club is proud to support the community, and the Milford Cruising Club is a registered Community Emergency Hub. If the club were to activate as an Emergency Hub, we would communicate this via email to our members, social media, the Milford Business Association, Milford Residents Association and local Facebook pages. We would advise what services are offered ie shelter, tea, coffee, and a safe space to be, as well as help to arrange other services as required.

We recommend that you “Like” the Milford Cruising Club Facebook page to keep up with all the latest updates including any emergency response information.
